Happy New Year! & Happy first day of Black History Month!

I had this crazy idea to join a consistency challenge for influencers, but I’m not technically an influencer… more like, aspiring.

I could have joined the Instagram challenge, but if we’re being honest, going all in on Instagram still kind of terrifies me. About two years ago after I finished competing in the Miss America Organization (state level), I took a break from social media.

Why? I wasn’t comfortable always putting myself out there and sharing with people that I was taking chances with my fate in a very important competition. Not winning in the end didn’t feel good, and I no longer really wanted people to know my every move I made so I took a step back, under the impression that this would be for the better. Instead, I feel like I fell off of the horse and can’t seem to find my stride.

However, it’s time for me to try again but I’m switching gears. This month, I’ll be attempting to write a blog post every day in hopes that I can improve my endurance for consistency. 

I shared in my latest YouTube video that I want to get serious about my media projects and this is the perfect way to start. If you’d like to pick an outlet to join me on, feel free! There’s room for everyone. 

Consistency

Change is funny. It can be as easy or as hard as you make it, but either way you have to put in the work. I show up for everything and everyone except myself, and that has to change. So, enjoy my latest video where I also share the 2021 goals that I wrote down on New Year’s Day. I hope they inspire you to get started chasing your own dreams because you deserve to be happy with every aspect of your life. I learned at an early age that if your dreams don’t scare you then they aren’t big enough… and I’m terrified.
